Life decisions

Are you and your loved one struggling with the fact that eventually they may need to be admitted to a long-term care facility or require in-home care?   Do you sit and talk day after day and wonder what the process is and whether you need to do something now to facilitate this for the future?

Well, the answer to all your questions is one phone call away.  Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) is in every community, with friendly nursing staff, support workers and administration staff to assist you in determining the service you need and how urgent it is.

Living in a long term care facility

This is the appropriate option for you or someone you know who has on-going health issues and requires constant care.  These facilities provide nursing, personal care, treatment/medication administration and much more….

In Home Care

If you are comfortable in your home but need assistance with bathing, meals and other day-to-day tasks this is something you should check into.

Every individual has different needs/requests and CCAC is there to inform you of your choices whether you want to move to a retirement residence, or need in home care, a long term facility or community support services. This will help you live the life you want and wake up every day with a smile.

on the phone

In my experience, first impression is very important.  I made a few calls to various properties and ultimately chose a preferred long term care facility because I was greeted with a happy voice and when I was transferred to the administrator I heard beautiful calming music and some information about their programs. As I listened my heart told me “this is the place”.  My parents and I made an appointment to go for a tour and sure enough it was their choice as well.  The unknown is over and we are in a happy place now; if this is ever something that needs to be initiated, all our ducks are in a row!

So make the call today to CCAC to learn about the process and ease your mind about the level of care you require or check out http://healthcareathome.ca/.
