We are in the heart of the winter blahs. The Christmas spirit has long since faded away and warm spring weather seems so far away. So it’s nice to have a long weekend in February! It gives us a small break to rejuvenate and store up enough energy to last until Easter. The burning question is what do you do with the kids on Family Day? Take a breath because there are lots of events happening both outside and indoors in Toronto, the GTA, Southern Ontario and Muskoka.
Family Fun Fest

Get outside and get moving with a full day of winter activities and sports in Rouge National Urban Park. Improve your slap shot, learn to curl or enjoy some winter birding or nature walking.
COLOUR-full Family Day Fun at the AGO
Monday, Feb 19 at 10:30 am – 4:00 pm – Art Gallery of Ontario – General admission
Dance the day away at an all ages dance party led by Movement Lab, try abstract painting with and without paint, get creative and sticker the walls of the rainbow room, or get popping in the famous bubble wrap room! Then, go on a fortune telling tour through the galleries, experience colourful shadow play, or make an emoji face mask.
The Secret Garden

It’s Canada’s largest inflatable festival, bringing a variety of fun and educational activities for all children 12 and under.
Aurora’s Arctic Adventure
Monday, Feb 19 at 10am – 4pm – Aurora Town Park – Free
Take in some great outdoor activities such as mini snow tubing, snow shoeing, skating, live entertainment, professional ice carving and more.
